Information for Students and Graduates
Are you about to complete your studies or maybe already writing your thesis? Have you come to study at TU Dortmund University from abroad? Are you interested in the professional opportunities which companies from Dortmund and the region can offer you? Take your chance at the next International Career Fair, 23 October 2024, and make direct contact with company representatives. Take part and get to know representatives of exciting companies in a personal appointment!
The International Career Fair at TU Dortmund University has a decisive advantage: In the run-up to the fair, students and graduates are matched with companies.
Register - swipe & like - make an appointment at the fair
International students and graduates can get in touch with your desired company directly - before the fair via the app "Talentefinder", at the fair directly and in person with your individual appointment.
You can specify whether you are looking for your first job after graduation, an internship or a working student job, or whether you would like to write your thesis at a company.
How exactly does it work ?
This is how you make appointments at the fair: You can like company profiles that interest you. In return, the companies can also like you. If a match is created in this way, you can chat with the companies and arrange an appointment - this will then take place on the day of the career fair on 23 October. You then visit the fair with appointments and get to know the company representatives in a direct conversation.
If you have a structured CV available as a PDF, you are also welcome to upload it; however, this is not a must. The companies can only see it if a match is made.
Formal registration is not required with Talentefinder. You just need to register in the browser-based app, create your short profile, and you're ready to go!

Where will the career fair take place?
The fair will take place at the International Meeting Center (IBZ), Emil-Figge-Str. 59, at the North Campus of the TU Dortmund University. The International Meeting Center offers an excellent framework for networking the university with the regional economy. The construction of the International Meeting Center (IBZ) has already shown that science and business are moving closer together in Dortmund: the building was financed primarily by donations from companies in Dortmund and the region. The students of the TU Dortmund also made a major contribution to the center with their tuition fees.
What does participation in the event cost?
For the companies and students, participation in the career fair is free of charge.
What happens after the fair?
We would like to stay in contact with you after the fair and follow up on what has resulted from your contacts.
Who organizes this event?
The International Career Fair is organized by the International Affairs Department of TU Dortmund University and the Dortmund Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
