Bachelor in Computer Science

The six-semester Computer Science program provides a solid knowledge of methods that forms the basis for a successful professional life. Students learn, among other things, to develop software, understand computer architectures, operating systems, computer networks, databases and distributed systems, and to solve practical problems efficiently using theoretical principles from mathematics. Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering

The Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering provides the technical-scientific principles and knowledge, enabling students for an advanced academic qualification in a Master program and a first professional qualification for the handling of planning and executional tasks in the business of general building construction. At the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering of TU Dortmund, Architects and Civil Engineers study together in the ‘Dortmunder Modell’. This model is unique in Germany and represents a teaching concept that encourages the interdisciplinary team collaboration with other Engineers involved in the construction process. Bachelor of Science Business Administration and Economics

The Bachelor's program combines a modern education in business administration and economics with innovative teaching methods and practice-oriented specializations. Prospective students should be interested in learning about business inter-relationships and the overarching issues of modern economics.
The program spans six semesters and begins with a general education in central areas of business and economics. A wide range of advisory services, an orientation week and tutorials in many of the foundational courses help students get their studies off to a great start. In the second half of the program, students can choose in which areas of competence to specialize.
The promotion of intercultural competencies and internationally oriented courses optimally prepare students for a professional life in a globally connected world.  Business English, international partner universities and options for semesters and internships abroad complete the international profile of the department.

Master of Science Automation and Robotics

Automation and control technology plays an increasingly important role in our daily lives. The master degree program in Automation and Robotics prepares students for a professional career in the fields of automation, control and robotics. The English-language program offers excellent teaching, well-equipped modern laboratories, and opportunities for application-oriented research. Interdisciplinarity is ensured by the active participation of the faculties of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology, computer science, bioengineering and chemical engineering, mathematics, as well as the Research Institute for Robotics and the Fraunhofer Institute for Logistics. Learn more about the program on the de­part­ment's website.  

Master of Science in Manufacturing Technology (MMT)

The Master of Science in Manufacturing Technology (MMT) focuses on the analysis of advanced manufacturing problems with a strong emphasis on the combination of scientific theoretical courses and experimental industrial setups. The fully English-taught Master’s degree course provides excellent university training for outstanding, motivated, and committed students within a research-based framework involving industrial cooperation.
