Open Afternoon at the IBZ

Eat & Read

Eat & Read is an open meeting place for students and employees of TU Dortmund University who want to meet, read, or study in a relaxed atmosphere.

The open event takes place every Wednesday at the International Meeting Center (IBZ, Emil-Figge-Straße 59) from noon to 3:00 p.m. We offer fresh waffles, tea and coffee. In addition, you can choose from our variety of books which we have available in the foyer. Everyone is welcome to bring and take books as well.

Eat & Read Special 1 July 2026

We cordially invite you to our Waffle Tasting Special on 1 July 2026, at the IBZ (Emil Figge Straße 59)!
Stop by between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and try three different kinds of waffles—served with coffee or tea.

Vote for your favorite waffle on-site using the QR code. The winning waffle will be featured again at our shop the following week.

As a thank you for voting, you’ll receive a recipe booklet (in German and English) with all the waffle recipes so you can make them at home.
