After Enrollment
Once you have submitted your enrollment with all the required documents, they will be checked. If your documents are complete, you will receive a provisional enrollment certificate with all other important information.
Before Arrival
Formalities
You will need a certificate of enrollment to prove your enrollment. If you arrive late, you can apply for a Late Arrival Letter - please contact your student advisor directly.
Counseling
The Degree Seeking Students team's Social Counseling and Accommodation Counseling services provide comprehensive advice on questions relating to visas, bank accounts, scholarships, health insurance, residence registration and housing.
After Arrival
Starting your Studies
On the following page on starting your studies, you will find all the information you need on course selection, timetables and study organization. You will also receive support from your student advisory service and the student council, e.g. with exam questions, learning materials or tips for everyday study life.
What does the TU Dortmund University app contain?
After your enrollment, you should definitely download the TU Dortmund app !
You will find your digital student ID under the "Student ID" tile. You can use your student ID to take advantage of the reduced rate in the canteen, for example, or to take advantage of discounts off campus (e.g. in the theater). It can also be used to borrow media from the University Libraries (UB).
Once you have successfully enrolled or re-registered for the next semester, you will receive your semester ticket for travel on public transport in the app.
To use the worldwide Uniwlan "eduroam", you need the access data in the app.
All registrations for modules are clearly arranged like a timetable. You will also find all registered achievements here, for example exam registrations and grades.
The app bundles everything important on campus: cafeteria schedules, LSF, university sports program, campus navigation, departure monitor, events and much more.
On Campus
Getting Involved in Campus Life
Network, help shape, support! Take part in events and gatherings and get to know other students. Whether in student groups, events or in the buddy program - your commitment brings international students together and can be credited towards the "Studium International" certificate.
