Finances
In order to study successfully in Germany, it is important to know your study costs and to be able to prove that you have a secure livelihood.
You can find a good overview of the requirements and options for financing studies for international students, legal restrictions on jobs and practical tips for planning your studies in Germany in this video from the "Deutsches Studierendenwerk".
Since January 2023, the required proof of financial means is €934.00 per month or €11,208.00 per year and from January 2025 €992.00 per month or €11,904.00 per year. Ask the German embassy or consulate in your country about the exact conditions for the proof!
