Social Counseling
The Social Counseling Service within the International Office provides international students with support and guidance on issues related to finances, residence law, integration and civic engagement, as well as health insurance.
Social Counseling provides support for questions about:
- visas and residency
- finishing degrees
- financial aid and scholarship possibilities
- advisory and support services regarding accommodation and housing
- possibilities for cultural exchange and integration
- involvement in campus life

Presence consultation hour
The on-site consultation hours for social counseling take place on Tuesdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with prior appointment booking via Terminland. The consultation takes place in the International Office, room 212 (2nd floor, Emil-Figge-Str. 61).
Online consultation
The online consultation hour for social counseling takes place on Thursdays from 1.00 - 2.00 p.m. on Zoom. It is not necessary to book an appointment in advance.
