The lecture will present the various facets of communication in Germany that are essential for international students in everyday life.

Please note that the event has unfortunately been canceled due to illness.

The Social Counseling Service of the International Office cordially invites you to an informative lecture on intercultural communication in Germany. On 20 November 2024, you will gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of intercultural communication for international students in an academic and everyday context.

Our speaker will present the various facets of communication in Germany that are essential for international students in everyday life. She will discuss verbal and non-verbal communication and explain important cultural values and norms. You will also receive practical tips on how to avoid typical misunderstandings in your studies and everyday life and how to interact successfully in Germany. The one-hour lecture will take place twice:

  • 4 p.m. in German
  • 5 p.m. in English

Each presentation will be followed by an opportunity to ask questions and share your own experiences. The event is free of charge and open to all interested parties. We look forward to a lively exchange!
