This is a scholarship program specifically designed for students at German universities studying STEM subjects. This initiative is carried out in support of the U.S. Department of State’s “Early Career STEM Initiative” and awards monetary scholarships to STEM students at the beginning of their careers with the aim of promoting the exchange of knowledge, methods, and culture between Germany and the United States.

The program is designed to promote practical experience, international collaboration, and professional development in the respective fields of study. To date, we have awarded 24 scholarships to participating students. The scholarships are available for programs lasting from 3 weeks to 12 months.

Odyssey is providing up to €750,000 in funding to support the participation of students in Germany. Individual students selected for the funding program receive up to €1,220 (depending on the duration of the program) to apply for a J-1 internship visa.

The scholarship can be combined with other scholarships (e.g., PROMOS) and BAföG for study abroad.

Apply by the 15th of each month—scholarships will be awarded until the budget is exhausted!
