UA Ruhr Liaison Office

Student mobility
Due to its excellent relationships with universities in the USA and the very good student exchange figures, TU Dortmund University has a unique selling point within NRW in this respect. Every year, around 30 American students come to TU Dortmund University for one or two semesters as part of the student exchange program and the same number of Dortmund students study (with a tuition fee waiver) in the USA during this time. In addition, around 20 students take part in short programs. An overview of all partner universities in the USA can be found on our website.
TU Dortmund University's membership in the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP, Washington D.C.) and bilateral agreements between TU Dortmund University and U.S. universities provide Dortmund students with low-cost opportunities to study in the United States for one or two semesters. An equivalent number of students per year are exchanged, whereby the American students pay their tuition fees at their home university and thus enable Dortmund students to study in the USA free of tuition fees.
