Please note: The overview is solely for orientation purposes. Only the information in your letter of admission is binding!

With a cross-semester admission, admitted applicants can enroll for the semester applied for or for a later semester. Cross-semester admission and enrollment therefore extends the period in which you can enroll. This gives you time to take care of necessary formalities, such as applying for a visa or entering Germany.

If you cannot be at TU Dortmund University in time for the start of your studies, you can simply enroll for a later semester using your letter of admission. You do not need to apply again for this.

Your letter of admission specifies the semesters in which enrollment is possible. Enrollment is only possible in the semesters explicitly stated in the letter of admission.

No, you do not receive a new letter of admission. The letter of admission is going to inform you in which semester respectively semesters the enrollment is possible.
