How can I gain access to the German job market? - This is the key question addressed in this online lecture. Experts from EURES, the European Employment Services (which promote labor mobility within Europe), will give you an overview of

  • how the German job market works,
  • give tips for finding a job in Germany, and
  • explain how to apply for jobs in Germany (e.g., how to structure a German resume).

You will also gain an insight into what employers expect, the legal framework that applies, and occupational health and safety regulations.

There will also be plenty of time for questions.

This lecture is primarily aimed at students from the EU and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland, but the content of the first part in particular is interesting and relevant for all international students.

  • Format: online (see below for dial-in details)
  • Participation: Registration is not required.
  • Date: Mon, Oct. 20, 2:00-3:30 p.m.
