Internships through Máximo Nivel in Latin America
Máximo Nivel offersaffordable study and internship programs in Costa Rica, Guatemala and Peru. Especially the internship programs can be flexible: Internships start every Monday and can range from 4 to 16 weeks. Students from all majors can do internships in micro business, education, special education, and human rights, among others.
Máximo Nivel takes care of the interns from the application to their return home and also organizes everything for the stay - from accommodation to airport pick-up, optional Spanish courses and excursions.

Maximo Nivel works with local businesses and organizations, including small businesses, schools, boutique hotels, tour operators, hospitals, clinics and many more. The company invests significant time and money in building the employer and internship network, recruiting interns, and managing logistics such as airport pickup, lodging, meals, embassy relations, and emergency plans. They also constantly monitors on-site conditions to ensure the safety of the program.
Maximo Nivel's team is multilingual, well-trained and very well-traveled. Their staff in each country is approximately 65% local and 35% international. This means that they can easily overcome cultural and language barriers while being familiar with both the local culture and the German culture.

Students of all disciplines can participate already from the first semester.
Spanish language skills (B1/B2) are typically required for internships e.g. in Micro Business, Special Education and Human Rights. If you have not yet reached the required level, you can add one of the intensive language courses before starting the internship. Máximo Nivel may also be able to find positions in these fields for students with lower level language skills - just ask them directly!
Currently, Spanish language skills are not required for internships in the field of education. English language skills are sufficient.
You pay a fee for participation and placement. This fee also includes accommodation and meals (breakfast/dinner) as well as many other services. Airfare and costs for local travel and expenses are additional.
You can apply for a travel grant through the PROMOS scholarship program of the TU Dortmund University (please note the application deadlines). If applicable, other scholarship programs may also be eligible for your internship (e.g. the Lehramt.International program of the DAAD for school internships).
In addition, this year Máximo Nivel is offering an additional scholarship of US $500 to four students of TU Dortmund.
